Hi, my name is Kris Drees. It is a blessing to pastor the loving saints at Haltom Road Baptist Church! The Lord called me and miraculously saved me at the age of nine. From that moment on, I felt an overwhelming desire to dig deep into God’s word and ultimately felt the calling to go into the ministry.
I am often asked where I am from, and find this question difficult to answer. I’m an Air Force brat. I was born in Tucson, Arizona. Lived in Izmir, Turkey. Grew up near Dayton, Ohio. Received my Bachelors of Arts in Bible/Pastoral Ministry from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Earned my Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Pastored my first church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. And I now have the privilege of residing in Texas! I can truly say that, “This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through.” Although, I hope to pass through Texas for many, many years to come.
It is my honor to be married to my beautiful and talented wife, Kim Drees since 2002. We have the joy of raising our five children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
I invite you to come worship the Lord with on this Sunday!
